  • Who qualifies for hospice care?

    Traditionally, hospice care was viewed primarily as care for late-stage cancer patients. However, the criteria for life-limiting illnesses and conditions in patients served by hospice have evolved over the years. This list includes, but is not limited to Alzheimer's, AIDS, ALS, end-stage cancer, heart failure, liver failure, pulmonary and renal disease, and many more. Any patient with a life expectancy of six months or less is qualified to receive hospice care.
